Amelia Annen will graduate in spring 2020 from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with BFA in drama and a minor in creative writing. She has written plays, films, poetry, short stories, and both sketch and stand up comedy. In January 2020, she co-wrote and performed her one-woman show, “This Feeling” at the Frigid Fringe Festival. She is president of NYU’s only variety comedy team Friends With Dads. She is also an original member of Women Stand Up, a stand up collective created to educate womxn comedians. In December 2020, her poem “You Remind Me of A Greta Gerwig Character” will appear in The Poeming Pigeon Pop Culture Issue. She likes to explore themes of gender, sexuality, love, humor, and violence in her writing.
