SAV_NYC x Anna Geiger’s “Take a Walk” Collection
The Take a Walk collection is a capsule that was created by SAV_NYC with graphic design help from Anna Geiger, a fellow GIRL GANG member. The phrase “Take a Walk on the Sunny Side of the Street” is one that was at the forefront of designer, Sara Vetser’s mind as of late and with Anna’s help they were able to bring a design to life and create a collection that showcases it.
“The phrase to me represents a reminder that you can always choose to looks on the bright side” says Sara Vetser, owner of SAV_NYC. “When mental health is low or you’re just having a bad day, head outside and take a walk in the sun to ground yourself and soak up some vitamin D. It’s an incredibly simple but powerful act of self-care”.
With the Take a Walk Collection, Vetser will share her and Anna’s work at local markets in hopes that the phrase will resonate with others and offer a gentle self-care reminder to each garments’ owner when it’s worn.

SARAH VESTER
Sara Vetser (she/her) is a creator and entrepreneur living in Brooklyn NY. After graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology in 2018 she spent her first couple of years out of college designing kids clothing for a fast fashion company. When Vetser was laid off at the beginning of the pandemic she was finally able to learn machine embroidery. Sara quickly built a business that does what no fashion fashion company could ever do, create exciting fashion in a sustainable way. By up cycling second hand apparel with her original embroidery designs she started to build a brand that’s slow, unique, creative, and most importantly extremely low waste and environmentally conscious. In her free time, of which she has very little, you can find her hiking, making bagels, caring for her plants, and eating lots of chocolate.
ANNA GEIGER
Anna Geiger (she/her) is a fourth year business and psychology major concentrating in health care management and consulting at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She previously studied at University College Dublin in Dublin Ireland, and is currently studying managerial accounting at Centre d'études Franco-Américain du Management in Lyon, France. While working for Harvard Medical School Executive Education, she found a passion for integrating graphic design and health care/well-being together. This interdisciplinary is consistently explored in her work. In her free time, Anna can be found playing the violin, running one of many clubs at Northeastern University, skiing, modeling, or spending time outdoors.
